beautiful. You will see Julie getting her “Ewok” fix in some of the photos. I shook hands with one little guy about 3 yrs old and he took my hand and placed it on his forehead.

The puzzling thing is that the call to prayer (I think 5 times daily) is in Arabic and Nova was telling us the people don’t have a clue what is being said. So back to our early morning walk...... Tek took us through many ...

The storm continued for hours, though the rain relented just enough for us to go out to dinner. The paths (there are no roads remember) were wet, some even flooded, but we made it to our chosen restaurant and were surprised to find a couple of other brave souls there too. ... Although it's easy to criticise those who leave litter, we weren't the ones who would have had to carry it off the mountain.
The most amazing thing was the porters. They carried all the stuff to feed, water and make camp for us in two baskets on a kind of yoke thing. I could barely lift it 6 inches off the ground. Up early get a taxi to dream land beach. Don't get subeds and lie on the sand, the waves are so massive that nobody is allowed in the sea. Have a massage by an Indonesian women and all of a sudden a wave takes us all out when we are sunbathing, all our stuff gets soaked.
