... 8217;t. They ask something about an appointment (I think; it was in Italian) and I hand over the name of the dentist I was told who worked here and reportedly spoke English.

One of the woman gets a form – standard first admission I guess – and beckons me to follow.

We go downstairs, spiral ones to boot, and she beckons a chair and says something like ‘a moment’.

I wait about 4-5 minutes and she returns, and in English ...

... OMG! This is such an impossibly beautiful place. There is a photo op every second. The lake is gorgeous and the mountains are behind it. I'm so glad I came up here. I've pretty much been everywhere in Italy now that I wanted to go. For dinner I had sliced chicken fillet with a Parmesan cheese sauce with a "hint" of truffle and vegies plus the obligatory wine! I couldn't taste the truffle but it was so nice to have some decent meat. Very nice restaurant ...

Business class - heaven!!

We used frequent flyer points for this trip and managed one leg in Business Class. Boy! I had forgotten just how comfortable it is and the convenience of the Airline Lounges. For this flight we were able to board direct from the lounge. Very convenient.

I slept most of the flight to Dubai. Peter managed only a few hours. Watching too many movies I think.

... The city seems to be well prepared to host the 2015 World's Fair.

Our lodging, Hotel Augustus, is just a few meters away from the train station and subway stop. So we dropped our luggage and jumped on subway to go sightseeing. It is amazingly easy to get around in this city, so it doesn’t feel like many of the congested cities in the USA.
