Bbq and trip

... will be fun. It's sprinkling out and cloudy, so unfortunately we won't be outside for the BBQ, but it should be fun. The other problem is that most of the students are feeling the pressure of work. They have a paper that is coming due in a couple weeks (the undergrads do) as well as a book that we all have due in a few weeks. Most claim they will sit at their desks and work. We'll see.

After our tasting we went then of for Lunch in a fine dinning restaurant in Piemont. The place was amazing and apparently you could look at the Alps. However the weather wasn't on our side and the clouds hung very low in the hills so we couldn't see them.

Barolo Tasting

... Enrico is recommending decanting the wine and than leave it for about 24 hours to breath and that it would be at its best.

Next we tasted a Barolo from 1982. It was very different to the 1964. It was still good in acidity and you felt the tannins very a bit stronger and smooth. It had a hint of Port and it was smooth in its texture. However you could so slowly taste that it was loosing on its quality.

After breakfast we all decide to go for little walk around the vinyards and get us all proberly awak. We decided to walk down the whole hill to the hazlenut trees. We all had a great little break befor dinner. I freshened my self up a bit and changed into some different cloth. I as well talked a little bit more with Petra who was working as well for Exclusive Hotels and we got to know us a little better. At 7pm we had than dinner in the wine cellar.
