By 8:21 a.m. we had crossed the line into Arkansas on route 40. The gently rolling hills and rich pastures took us past well-manicured homes and stately farms. There were several large churches in each town we came to. By 2 p.m. we'd left Arkansas and hit Memphis, which I saw briefly as we blew through. In Adamsville I spotted the first Piggly Wiggly of ...

Who likes to fish? We certainly enjoyed fishing with my sister, Dena and brother-in-law John. Of course riding on the pontoon was not complete without Smokey (their dog). Today's 76-mile ride was relatively uneventful mostly because 70 of it was on the same highway. However, Carlee, Hannah, and I broke up the ride with some nice long talks about politics, favorite things, and some other zesty topics. Later, Alicia joined us and we stopped at Prichard's distillery to learn about how they make rum in Tennessee. The woman was really nice and gave us a tour of the ...

Friday was the start of the reunion activities. 25 classmates and spouses from the Class of '63 gathered at the home of Forrest and Jacque Behrens for a day of dining and lots of conversation and stories of the days of old and present. The next day the group met at 11:30 at Champy's restaurant for fried chicken and fried catfish. After lunch some of us went touring ...
