Pulling out of Paduca, I got back on ol Mr 24 and motored merrily along my way...The road got progressive hillier (I think I made up another word) as I went along. The scenery was kinda cool tho what with some of the trees turning to a soft yellow and some of the sumac a fiery red. Some of the far off vistas wasn't to bad either.

Took a shower, jumped off fellow travelers with a dead battery, and drove. Gas in Independence, MO. Saw a police chase that ended in a crash. Looked it up online later and saw pictures. Ate at Steak n Shake (terrible service made our stop an hour and a half) in Wentzville, MO. Got gas. Gas in Marston, MO. (See how we are never leaving Missouri?) Lucas complained about the gas mileage. He says he got better in the mountains rather than fighting ...

Landed here at Lawrenceburg, TN (2M2) around 7pm central time and fueled up. ($4.05/gal) The municipal ...

After church with Al Green, Tim and I took a mini road trip to the Muscle Shoals area along the Tennessee River in Alabama. Along the way we passed a sign for "Coon Dog Cemetery", at which point we turned around. 10 miles down a windy country road, also a "Birding Trail" (I thought it was a bridling trail), we came upon the only Coon Hound Cemetery in the world. This is no joke...only coon hounds are ...

... br> Took a brief detour as both GPS's sent us on a wild goose chase. Thankfully it was brief and we were soon back on Hwy 72 headed to Athens. Two brief potty breaks for Jerry and a chance to check the tires on the car. Unfortunately for us we’ll still be on Central Standard Time tonight. Ready to get back into our time zone!

We arrived at North Gate RV Travel Park about 1:45 and by 2:20 we were set up ...
