... me a tour, and she had the individual room available, so I took it as a sign, and stayed. Leslie (the owner) took me with her to go shopping in town (left a note on the door for other pilgrims), and off we went in her Renault 4 (yikes!!!) and picked up prawns for dinner. When we got back, there were 4 other pilgrims waiting (Kuhn and son from Belgium, and Christine and Nicholei from germany).

... to explore the Ria further and went to the very top and anchored in Ensenada de San Simon. Very pretty. While searching for a place to anchor we saw around 6 dolphins mooching about - that was real cool.
The following morning we headed for Baiona.
The old town of Baiona is very nice, small but nice. The views of the Ria and the Atlantic are magical as you stroll on the outside of the castle walls.
Great bars and restaurants.

The old town is great, comparable to Santiago but with less churches and more administrative buildings. There was a mixture of styles. Very atmospheric - we finding that towns /villages are alive between 12 and 3pm (i.e. while shopping and eating) and then they are like ghost towns until ...

For the rest of the day we did basically nothing but enjoy the day, the sunshine and the lovely view.
On Monday at low water, there were loads of "official / registered" cocklers on the beach. In the morning I also saw three dolphins exploring the area - magical! The weather has changed a lot - its now damp and miserable but we need to move ...
We left the lovely little bay and headed for Vilagarcia, not too far away. We found a spot in the marina and proceeded to go pay for the berth only to be told they were full - being a Friday and all that etc etc etc. So we anchored outside the breakwater (along with another British boat that was turned down).
