Although we dreamt and planned a lot for this journey, we never thought about the last part.
Waiting between our last two planes, we still have one question:How do you end such an overwhelming adventure before getting back to the real world of bills, plumbing problems and work but also friends, family, weekends and summerbars? It is 5:38 pm Italy time... how do I know this???... because our plane has actually landed in Italy. It's a miracle!!! The drive from our hotel is 40 minutes. Dark until 8.15am so didn't see out the window. When we did, the courtyard was covered in snow. Skype with Lena and family.
Walked to Kafeewerk, recommended by Bean Hunter, good coffee. Near Skyline Shopping Centre and festival hall. Also Hammering Man.
Walked to old town via a nice footbridge, more big barges (coal). There was also a wonderful open air food court outside the main railway station. The vendors ...

... from day one. The culture shock was unlike anything I have experienced in my life. Now I feel like I could travel all over Europe without issue. I have also overcome my fear of flying during this trip. I guess 7 flights totaling over 25 hours of flying in 3 weeks will do the trick. And speaking of which, we are already busy planning our next European vacation. Any guesses as to where? One hint: we'll definitely be drinking a lot of tea & possibly partying with Harry ...
