    ... We stayed clear of the left lane for the most part and did remark that three hot machines blew by us(on each others tail) as if we were standing still and we were doing 130 kmh. Some things never change!!!

    As I write, we are enjoying a refreshment in our Hotel zum Muehle located on the Rhine River. A wonderful setting but not enough good light for pics when we arrived. Tomorrow after breakfast (our standard routine) will work much better. We have ...

    ... for a table and having two beers and leaving for the next pub. Home at 10:30 or the ship leaves!! We had our friends Carol and Rob in our group so that made it fun. It was so loud everywhere we couldn't hear the guide.     Early this morning, about 4.30, we sailed passed Frankfurt and onto Cologne, berthing at about 1pm. We opted for the city walking tour which was about 1.5 hour duration. We learnt about the history of Cologne, or Koln as it is called in Germany. With a population of 1 million, it's the 4th biggest city in Germany (behind Berlin, Hamberg, Munich).     After spending the evening in Bonn, which gave the crew the opportunity of a welcome night out, if they chose, we set sail for Cologne at 5.15 this morning and docked at 8am.
