      ... bread rolls (and a piece of grilled cheese for me as I don't eat meat) and I soaked up the atmosphere as family and friends chatted away in Swiss-German!       Our first ever conversation with our friend Stefan Erni was about wine. The three of us met at the then Riverbend Hot Springs Hostel in Truth or Consequences, NM.       ... we were leggin it into the city centre . There was plenty of action at the town park where we set up camp for some time, watching the parade and different bands all dressed in national costume sweating it out in the 38 deg heat! The music was......bearable, although it was wearing a bit thin, given the heat wave we were enduring. The food stalls were......not so bearable, actually we could not stand the smell.
