    ... while we took the U6 and a tram back to the cottage. We really enjoyed Chris's stay with us as he is such good company and we certainly went to some places such as the Ferris Wheel that we would not have gone by ourselves. He caught the night train at 10.40pm and will arrive in Berlin at the time we leave Vienna in the morning. We will catch up with him in Berlin though he is in a different hotel about 3-4 kms away.     ... up the hill to get a better look at the oldest church in Austria and then circled back towards the underground for our trip to Schonnbrun Palace. By now Cheryl and I had covered her required 10,000 steps and then some. (By the end of the day we reached 20,000 steps or 10 miles!)

    ... we were there, they we creating a ramp on stage, on top of the flat floor.

    Next up for Christine was the Treasury Museum to see all the royal jewels, crowns, septers and various jewelled objects used primarily by the Hapsburgs. Gorgeous.

    ... detour, we steered away from the beaten tourist track and the typical sights a Viennese tourist experiences and got to see more of the everyday life in Vienna and non-tourist but nonetheless spectacular and interesting architecture, bakeries and 'suburban’ streets.
