... staff than patrons. Cost €10 to get in! The interior is like one of the palaces I’ve been too; plush seats; pull levers on the pokies. The tables are old-style with the croupiers using real rakes to literally rake the money in. Even the toilets are self-cleaning. The whole place is quite surreal. Not as big as I imagined, and I think it was quiet because u had to pay, whereas the casino at my hotel was always packed & free entry with ...
Monaco, Monaco travellingross... in real english translates to....have sex with chris's mother......
and also " i like drink vodka and go club" from a certain unenthusiastic young lady.
well, at least they understood the question...
so i informed them that all of that was simply UNACCEPTABLE and my classroom is a microcosm of the US, ergo if you are under 21 ( which thankfully they are only 19,20) drinking is strictly verboten and i don't want to hear about illegal ...
... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....
have some grat pics of Nice and French Rivierra to show when we get home...
... love the sunshine. sorry kids at home, but the weather here is gorgeous!!!!
anyhoo so we're finally moved in and making the place a little home-y. until our landlords get us a futon downstairs im living in the mezzanine above beccas bedroom. its such a cute little nook i feel all hidden away. :) hella mignon. oh and we have really cool door thingys downstairs. theyre the typical ...
... tomorrow. The hotel is the flashest i have ever stayed at. There was a gala ball on tonight and some famous people (tv cameras here and all!). I didn't recognise anyone tho. Had a drink at the bar to soak up the atmosphere. My view is fantastic.
Not going to update the travel blog for a few days while I enjoy the relax time in Monte Carlo. Will summarise it all with photos once I’m on my way to Italy. Here’s hoping the weather shines for me.
... the morning shift I ran to the railway station. The return ticket to Monte Carlo was only 5 Euros, and the journey last 15-20 minutes. The views were gorgeous, but the best one was the old town of Monte Carlo and it`s cars. Jeeez! Amazing! Moreover, they would stop in order to let you pass through - before you even got to zebra. I had a very limited time, but the things I saw there made me convinced it was not my last time in Monaco.
... came, but I don't know where to go, so I just get on a train going to some place I've only heard of, written in an alphabet I can't read, everybody speaking a language I can't speak. All I know is that I'm heading south. I know that by the location of the sun. But instead of getting out of the snow it just keeps falling harder. And instead of going downhill, we're going up, past cactus and agave ...
Monaco-Ville, Monaco hardiek... take (more) reflection pictures. Gorgeous sunset as we sail and Al spends hours talking to Ed over the verandah railing. Free champagne with dessert tonight and an apology from the captain for the hold up with embarkation. I found out that for those who arrived at 11 there was a priority embarkation line for suite guests but by the time we arrived chaos ruled and we just in with everyone else.
Monaco, Monaco aussiepanda... site where it used to be. But still, we got some great views so it was totally worth it, including getting a bit lost when we were climning. We figured just go up. Which we did and we ended up in some clearing. But we did get some amazing views up top and had a good hike. At the top, we saw a little train that takes people up and down the mountain, only we didn't see it until the top. We thought about taking it down, but it cost 3 euro each. Such a ripoff ...
Nice, France suetravels... again there is a lot of history - a wedding masacre due to protestants and cathlicism - hundreds of people slaughtered. Walked through to the top of the Notre Dame- stairs tight, steep and lots of them. Saw the Humpback of Notre dame's bell- what a view of the city!! Didn't get to see Napoleans grave- damn next time!! PHOTO_ID_L=france-paris.jpg] Time to walk back to bus [ a quick divert for shopping], then sirens started to bellow - riot ...
