Saturday June 30, 2012 Bora Bora to Rangiroa
So time to pack up and take off to Rangiroa….Rox and Tyson did a wash and it was dry before we left….15 minutes by boat to the airport, one hour and a bit flight to the Tuamotus.
Flying into Rangiroa you could see the huge atoll spread out on the ocean like a big chain …

... It was such a short ride, but it felt very long when we walked :-)
Back on the ship around 2.Showered and cleaned. Had hamburgers for lunch. Our ship weighed anchor at 4:30. I got out on the balcony and watched Rangiroa as our ship sailed away - somehow I had not done this before.
We had dinner at the French specialty restaurant Jaques at 8pm. Again, stuffed myself. Continued packing after dinner. Tomorrow will be our last port call, Raiatea.
... crab, follow sharks or do gymnastics at sun set. But what is not so nice is the mosquito and sand fly bites. We have counted a total of 300 bites among the 4 of us. They do not let me write who’s got the record, 151. Even though we use the mosquito net to sleep and we are practically bathed in 70% deet mosquito repellent we bought in Canada, they are still biting us. The worse part is that you do not notice them until it is too late! ...
... Finally, night swallowed the light. After an incredible dinner of duck and meat, we cuddled up into bed covered with mosquito nets and watched "War Horse", well, just until we fell asleep.
That was one of the best days of my life. I had an extremely nice time. I hope that the following day will be as good or even better.
By the way this is Ariana writing.
Hope to keep in ...
