The Novotel Nathan Road had everything we would desire in a hotel, and we loved staying there. We weren't looking for peace and quiet, nor a stunning view, but the Novotel is so convenient, and our room was peaceful and beautifully appointed. We would have liked to stay longer than our 8 days. The staff were very friendly and helpful, any problem in the room was attended to immediately [ light bulb, etc]. The buffet breakfast was included in the price, and the food was delicious!

Usually I'm feeling depressed at leaving a holiday venue, and I kind-of was, but was looking to get back to see my cardiologist.
We were flying home to Adelaide at 7pm. It's great that Cathay Pacific has direct flights Adelaide to Hong Kong. It's a good jumping-off place to other countries too.

I didn't have a very good night last night. Was it because John wasn't there, and I was lonesome?? I don't usually mind being by myself. I woke up at 10.18 am and nearly had a fit, because breakfast closes at 11am! Dazedly got dressed and hurried down to the dining room.
There was rain spattered on the windows of the restaurant, but just then …

At this stage we should have been having a blog about John's expedition to Dongguan, but I haven't been able to extract the information from him yet, so you'll have to wait with bated breath!!

8am John switched on the lights. I was sound asleep and hate being woken abruptly. Down

This is the continuation of yesterday's post ………….

The Jade Market was inside a large marquee, set out in rows, which I didn't count, but there must have been at least four long rows. A bit overwhelming really, didn't know where to start!
Most the stalls had very bright lights illuminating their wares. The only …
