Doktor Von Daller Strasse 1-3 Freising, Bavaria, Germany, 85356, 49-8161-5320

Bavaria welcomed me with 20 degrees (November!!!) that was just cool after 0 in Moscow)))
And especially it was funny to see Christmas decoration and souveneers walking just in t-shirt )
Evening was spent in Munich in fact, right in the centre, and the first impression is just great: quiet, beautiful, nice people...

finally i managed to do a bit of shopping even here))) but talking about places to eat it's a great problem... all these restaurants that seemed to be very nice from ouside, turned out awful inside (design, level, service, food, etc)... once again we found a good one, but we spent about 20 min for that(((( but probably it was just a bad luck...

Went to Munich last night and i did a walking tour of the place with some other contiki people and a guide who I'm sure was on something. he was an American who moved to Munich to live with his family in the 90's and started a walking tour. it was interesting but honestly i dont think ive ever been that cold before my feet were literally BLUE. we learnt about the ruling family who asked the king of Germany for Munich to run and he was like sure here u go. the third generation ...
Munich, Bavaria, Germany caitlinmateer... garden and now opens as a public park. What I really loved about it was that every plant had a tag with its name on it, and there were so many different, unusual plants. It was part of a Technical College, so students were working on it all the time. There is no entry fee surprisingly. We came here by default as we had intended to stay in Munich but there was a Trade Conference on ...
Freising, Bavaria, Germany karana... around the city. You really have to keep your wits about you when you walk around Munich because 1/3 of the sidewalk is set aside as a bike path. It's great to see people out getting exercise but I must say...Bavarian cyclists? They don't mess around. They're just a whizzing along those paths. And if an unsuspecting tourist happens to step in their path? It's allll over. Apart from the cyclists going ...
Munich, Germany friskyc... returned alive from the airport and we got on a train into town. We toured the Deutsches Museum which was super interesting, even if all the descriptions were in German...should have really taken more than that one class sophomore year at ol BHS. Our happy day ended on the train to France. And I mean our happy ended. We were in a compartment with possibly the angriest French woman I have ever encountered. Her ...
Munich, Bavaria, Germany gr8escape... thing I did that day. Talked (in German) with Italian men at a bar in Munich. Oh, and then there happened to be an Italian specialty store so I stopped in for some delicious Barilla cookies (Tenerezze, limone) and spoke more German with the Italian shop-owner. Italia goes wherever you go. Now, today - Happy 4th of July! Instead of your typical picnic, bratwurst, circus peanuts, I went...to Dachau. How depressing. It's kind of interesting going there ...
München, Germany cpaverill... with the beer and the prevention of a major hangover i am sure. Matt figured that over the few days we were there he ate 3 pork legs, 3 whole chickens, 4 brat wursts, 9 steins of beer, 5 pints of beer, 6 schnapps shots and a big headache. Donna followed a close second. We are on our way back to London and then home to Glasgow unfortunately. We have had the most amazing time and we really enjoyed the German Hospitality and are looking forward to returning.
Munich, Germany mattdonnaWe flew from DFW to Frankfurt where we had to change planes for Munich. The Germans I met later were all friendly and helpful (well, maybe not that guy in the post office), but the officials at the airport are all business and VERY serious. Still, we managed to find our gate and made it safely to Munich with all ...
