We stayed in our same motel again, still great service, lovely people.
We have stayed here now for our whole trip to Bangkok, the staff and service has been great. The place is very central to food, pubs and transport aswell.

It would be 10 am at home, so still had a sleep in! Didn't get to be till 4am here, but on the go again for things to explore and see what's open on New Year's Day!

Nothing really offensive or complimentary about the hotel. It was a bit annoying that they were having construction on the pool area while staying here, but otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. No restaurant worth talking about. The location is a bit far from most of the attractions, but the public transport station is right down the street if you are looking to take the light rail.

We got into a long Bangkok speed boat, with about 20 others today and made a small tour group for a few hours. We were made up of Norwegian , American , German , Indian , European and us from Australia . We had a hilarious young girl as our guide, she had us all laughing from the start, informing us on different words not …

We travelled west towards Burma to Kanchanaburi district leaving at 6 am this morning ,and saw the bridge over the river Kwai pow camp war cemetery . It is hard to believe how many Australians, English ,and Dutch are buried here . This railway line was supposed to take 5 years to build, but, the Japanese, forced the POW labour that hard …

We walked up sukhumvit road today and trekked down to Benchakitti park. It is huge, with a lake in the middle, took lots of photos of orchids in the trees, monks go there to meditate, ( I can see why) it is a very peaceful spot in the centre of Bangkok, and you don't feel like you,re in the city at all. We passed heaps of markets and hawkers …

... as such an interesting place and all for the measly sum of 2.00 each - amazing!

We decided to give another tuk-tuk driver a go and for a couple of quid we whizzed through the streets back to the skytrain, getting off at Siam Square for dinner. You are literally lying down in the back of the tuk-tuk and its a lot of fun in the baking heat and road blockades as they can pretty much go everywhere! We then hopped back on the train to ...
