after a mighty long day I was near the town of Montreul on Lake Genèva and

... When I was finished dining, I presented the card to the girl at the front cash desk, and paid for the order. It was a wonderful meal and an interesting dining experience, somewhat reminiscent of the Manora restaurants in Switzerland that I’ve dined at on occasion. Vapiano is apparently a German chain, with branches all over Europe. I’ll have to check to see if there are any in Canada.

Lausanne on Lake Geneva beautiful!!
After a busy day at The Top of Europe we hopped in the car and arrived at Lausanne at 8pm, checked into a gorgeous hotel booked the night before overlooking the lake. Our room was faultless and the service has been exceptional and friendly.
We spent the first morning chilling, actually we did not wake up until 10am as the block out blinds really did their job!! We got out of the room ...
... only thing I could do with the rest of the meal - not the fries - was to feed it to the restaurant owner's dog who suddenly became my best friend. Just to inform you what I'd been eating - and to make vegetarian readers feel quite smug and self-satisfied - I understand it to have something to do with pig or veal colons. It's definitely McDonalds for me from now on.
