... Wow. Beautiful. Found seats near the rear of a very full cathedral and enjoyed a very beautiful mass (albeit in French so not very understood, but got the gist) celebrated by Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois, archeveque de Paris (!) Bought a ticket at a machine for entrance and a head set, and I was off. Not looking for anything in ...

... our passports and Euro rail passes then head to the train station to try and find a solution. There are no trains from Paris to Kolbenz that we can take on our Euro rail passes - egad! The very kind fellow at the train station is able to find three connection through French and Germany to Kolbenz if we are prepared to pay full price for the tickets. Yep, we need to get there and so suck up the 48 E and take the 8 hour ride. ...

... tower is beautiful and radiates a certain loveliness or quintessential 'Parisian-ness' that is irresistible. Our picnic was great! We then proceed to get completely lost and end up further south (instead of north like we wanted) in the Montparnasse neighbourhood. Disillusioned and grumpy, we buy a map, sit down at a cafe and order two Pelforth beers. 15 minutes later, we have our bearings and set off in the ...
