Today I started the day by stepping into a pile of *****. I was navigating with my phone to get to the Big Bus and didn't see what either a gigantic dog or a horse had left on a side street. It didn't ruin my day, or my morning for that matter.

The gardens--long rectangular beds with gravel paths--are a sort of controlled chaos where mixtures of plants, many still blooming, spill over one another in a variety of color combinations. We walked up and down, snapping pictures. As Karen noted, Butchart this is not! Still, it is lovely, nature everywhere. Even though we were encountering some tour groups, there were blessedly few people ...

... Tower, as they were walking I thought I would have some quiet time & rest, write in my diary & update this blog. It is once again busy outside in the streets, they are very narrow but they always seem to have a lot of cars, bikes & scooters going through, very noticeable with windows open. Paris is a very noisy, bustling city and the traffic & how they drive is just crazy. Not sure what we are doing this afternoon. We ended up having late ...
