Canals cause dead ends!

Our self-walking tour should take us past most points of interest in a timely fashion and leave enough spare time for some internet contact with the rest of the world, courtesy of McDonalds or any other establishment displaying the free Wi-Fi symbol.

... through shopping areas, both high end and mainstream. We passed the oldest statue in Holland, a bronze from 1622 of Erasmus. In this square a fabulous jazz band was playing to a small crowd of locals just sitting enjoying the weather and music. We walked to the Central Station, passed the Bourse and City Hall. The station is undergoing a massive renovation that will not be complete until 2013. I hope we can return by then as it will accommodate ...

... uur, eindelijk in het kamp.
Onze tent (stokken met plastic overdekt) stond al en de assistenten waren bezig met koken en thee maken, het rook goed. Even poedelen in de rivier( stroming was te sterk).
Al gauw waren een paar bruine makaken ook op de hoogte van het goddelijke brouwsel, kwamen poslhoogte nemen en waren zo vlug om even een blik gecondenseerde melk leeg te zuipen haha! Hilarisch!
Monitor lizzards kruipen hier ook rond trouwens.
