... I was sitting in the forward half, people were mostly speaking (yelling) English, I figured this was a good time for my one road beer. Exercising my legal right in Germany, I cracked open my 16 ounce barley pop and enjoyed the show. The first few days in Rotterdam were great. Bucc, my friend from college who I was visiting, had school and work during the days. He's getting his MBA equivalent and works for a municipal economic development agency. He had an extra bike, so ...

... Euromast, I caught the tram back to the city centre. I wandered around there for a while, just observing the evening city life and getting a feel for the atmosphere. I found the most amazing ice cream shop and sat outside people-watching whilst enjoying some lemon sorbet and some black cherry ice cream. Returning to the train station, I happily caught the Thalys train back to Amsterdam feeling like a truly international traveller! I got home footsore and tired at 9pm but what a fantastic day it ...

... in the lounge, I assumed I was in the correct place. So here I am now in Amsterdam, with an hour left to go before boarding, feeling very calm and collected...and also rather tired! I managed to FaceTime my brother and his girlfriend, as well as my nana and grandad in this time, and so that was extremely reassuring to speak to some close family members. I still feel a bit overwhelmed by the whole experience, but at the same time I ...
