There are lots of interesting tiny alley ways, some just wide enough for a small car and at that moment a tiny road sweeper zoomed past us into a no entry and then right into another no entry, good job most of the inhabitants are most likely asleep!!! While the shop was fine and we scored some very delicious salmon and spinach ...

We went back to the original train station that we arrived at and found out we could take one of those trains to Perpignan with a single transfer and no bags for our bikes. So we biked an extra 6 miles around town just to find out we could have sat in the parc next to the station and just waited. Long story short, we got to Perpignan, France, and met up with our first couchsurfing hosts, Christo and Anais.

... Perpignan has gone upmarket with the centre filled with designer shoes and clothes shops and many of the residents promenading that evening are clearly not afraid of paying these prices. While Perpignan was never exactly run down in character this is quite a change in fortunes. Perhaps its coming to prominence in Rugby circles, drawing in lots of visitors from abroad for games has sparked this investment. Looks great on it that is for sure. The Catalan feel of the place is still ...
