There are lots of interesting tiny alley ways, some just wide enough for a small car and at that moment a tiny road sweeper zoomed past us into a no entry and then right into another no entry, good job most of the inhabitants are most likely asleep!!! We realised why she asked when they arrived, I ended up putting half of mine in a doggy bag, there were 4 different salamis, chorizo, pancetta, 2 different cheeses and sobrasada on bread, plus olives and onions! and all this for £7.00 each!!! We also went out to the Palais Des Rois De Majorque, where the young guy gave us pensioner prices! We must have looked worn out!! It was a really interesting stop. Caught the free bus Back, almost to our apartment, bought some snacks at the little supermarket and found an Aldi!! Can see you laughing! BUT it was along a little way from the station. While the shop was fine and we scored some very delicious salmon and spinach ...

We went back to the original train station that we arrived at and found out we could take one of those trains to Perpignan with a single transfer and no bags for our bikes. So we biked an extra 6 miles around town just to find out we could have sat in the parc next to the station and just waited. ... Perpignan has gone upmarket with the centre filled with designer shoes and clothes shops and many of the residents promenading that evening are clearly not afraid of paying these prices. While Perpignan was never exactly run down in character this is quite a change in fortunes. Perhaps its coming to prominence in Rugby circles, drawing in lots of visitors from abroad for games has sparked this investment. Looks great on it that is for sure.
