... It was quite impressive. Underneath the Buddha statue there was a shrine where the monks come to pray. Chris our travel coordinator recommended a restaurant in old Phuket. I imagine the town being small and quaint. But it was really large and just a hodgepodge of unattractive buildings. The food at Tu Kab Khao was delicious. Our last stop was their local market. Being that it was ...

... I did. As I opened it he giggled to himself in amusement and happiness as he thought he had caught a packet of drugs on me when really it was just my SD cards in a little plastic sealable bag; haha jokes on you! Haven't caught us out this time! We went about another 2km up the road and there was another police check pulling everyone over, this time they wanted drivers license, well this was karma... ... price. Most of the accommodation in Phuket is very expensive for the quality of resorts that are on offer. During the next couple of days, we walked along our preferred beach, the much larger Bang Tao beach where the tourist facilities would thin out as you went further north along the beach. We found some nice remote areas to layout ...

... and sleeping until we met my friend from work again for dins where we hit the karaoke bar again and Wayne met his match with a beautiful bright green guana (like a chameleon). I have added a few pics but once again they are just from my phone as our camera won't download to iPad. Hope you have fun at the army ball tonight Benny and Sora. Enjoy your Sunday off Hanny and thanks for keeping an eye on gran for me it seems she ...

... no rules. Biggest wins. Overtake left or right if you prefer. Stopping at red traffic lights seems to be arbitrary. We buzzed down the highway intent on following the road to Patong but we missed the turnoff and ended up at Hat Kata -it's slightly seedy, very busy and a working knowledge of Russian would be helpful perhaps vital if you own a guest house or restaurant. I had an hour long beach walk before we rode to Karon. The area is a tad cheesy where there's ...
