Standard soulless city hotel
Staff quite friendly and helpful
Location is not city centre, but there is a complimentary shuttle into the city, but no return - they want everyone to use a specific taxi service, for reasons one can only wonder at! But it is not far to walk, 20 minutes,, and people are willing to help with directions.

... it has been over 30 years for Helen and about 10 years for Louise, so things could have changed. We locate Beethoven Strasse. Find the house number. Hmm. ... Netherlands fashion, it started to rain. It was interesting walking around the town, but once again most shops were closed, today being Sunday. At least it is saving us money, no shops open, also no time to shop. Maastricht looks to be quite a wealthy town judging by the prices of things in the shops.
The highlight of today was the lunch at Neercanne Castle it is right on the Belgian/Dutch border. It has a Michelin Star restaurant & the castle is 17th century & the ...

We made our way around Brussels and on into Limburg, near the river Maas and the borders with Holland and Germany. We stopped at a nice ACSI site costing only 12e. We were both feeling under the weather and very tired - so a very early night for us!
