... Pak Bara is the starting point for all the islands in the sputh Andaman, so is pretty busy. We found there were only 3 of us on our boat - me and Baska, and a girl who worked there and was returning from her days off. The boat for Koh Lipe, which is very over-developed, had about 50 or 60 people queueing. Great! Good decision. Clambering onto the speedboat was quite a feat, but we managed. 20 minutes later, we were speeding through the bluest sea imaginable, between ...

... dem Bus nach Bangkok. 8 Stunden Bus fahren wuhuuuu.

... man comes and moves us across the road and our friends appears telling us our bus is not far away so stay where we are. We are waiting here for a while when yet another man appears telling us to follow him as our bus is down the road. We are now with a group of about 10-15 people blindly following these guys trusting they will get us to our bus! We eventually make it our bags are packed and an hour after we are supposed to we are on our way to Koh Phangan. Goodbye for now ...

... sense made us sneak past quietly.

We walked passed a resort and followed the signs to the beach and Mel's Bar. There was a sign saying the beach was private and can only be used by resort or patrons of the bar, unless you pay 50 baht. But it was 7am and not a sole around so we parked our gear on the beach. Not really a beach, more like a 10 metre stretch of sand between some boulders. We swam out passed another resort on the cliff towards what was marked ...
