    ... out front of the hotel, and chat to another guest over a beer or three. Of course more things missing from the island: an ATM, and any internet! So off to get enough cash to see us out, and a sim card with 3gb of internet for my spare smartphone, which acts as a WiFi hotspot in such circumstances.     I left Koh Tao by catamaran, and arrived at Chumphon, a town on the coast of mainland Thailand. I had a pretty boring day today as had to wait for my night train to Bangkok which didn't leave until 1am!     ... as it had been a clear evening the night before. We could see the stars, the fireworks and the Chinese lanterns floating over the horizon last night. But the weather can change quickly here so maybe it shouldn't have come as a surprise.

    We were checking out today, which we had to do by 10am. Our ferry wasn't until nearly 3pm. As such we decided to retreat back to the bungalow after breakfast and bask in the air conditioning as long as possible!

    ... man comes and moves us across the road and our friends appears telling us our bus is not far away so stay where we are. We are waiting here for a while when yet another man appears telling us to follow him as our bus is down the road. We are now with a group of about 10-15 people blindly following these guys trusting they will get us to our bus! We eventually make it our bags are packed and an hour after we are supposed to we are on our way to Koh Phangan. Goodbye for now ...
