There are a lot of toll highways
At breakfast you get a bowl and must decide if you want to use it for coffee or for cereal....I took 2 bowls anyways

I had 350 miles to cover if I wanted to hit France today, I couldn't face that on the back roads so did 200 miles on the Italian motorways, 3 hours & 26 Euro later.....I got back onto the A roads. It took me the best part of 6 hours to cover 150 miles over the mountains. I told the Satnav to avoid motorways and toll roads and then take me the shortest route......I can't decide whether that was a mistake or not because altitude wise I peaked ...

The old town is built around a central canal that takes the water from the lake to the valley behind. The intricate system in place to prevent flooding but also ensure that the canal is always full was very interesting to see. Got up and had breakfast in hotel. Bread toast orange coffee. Lovely breakfast. Drove through beautiful mountains to Grenoble and then onto Annecy. Got hotel Best Western. Lovely room. Bought milk in Spar and food in garage. . Went for walk to old town. Had creeps. Cold Walked and sat by lake. Back to hotel. Lovely ...
