... of connectivity and affordability. The city centre itself is fairly quiet feeling, due to the limited number of cars – Most streets are mainly pedestrian, and the city is also very bicycle friendly with bike paths everywhere.

We did research on places for dinner while we were looking before settling on a place that looked quite fancy (from the sound of the menu). It turns out we were right – The service and all about the place was of ...

One day I went to Chateauneuf. This castle was built in the 12th century. That means it's 800 years old. But some of it had to be rebuilt 500 years ago.

This is a castle that knights used to live in.

The funniest thing was that in the brief stop to ask for directions we became caught up in a wedding procession of cars all tooting their horns uncontrollably. We just joined the procession as we didn't have any more time up our sleeve. We couldn't believe it but we made it ...

... and small hotels clustered around the square and wanted to move right in.

By mid-afternoon, an easy 25 km glide through the vines, we slid into Beaune and stopped to get our bearings in the first square we encountered. I saw a small hôtel on the corner and went to investigate. One of the things I love about accommodation in France, is that the hotels post their rates outside, so you can quickly check to see if it's ...
