... go to to pick up?

I'm constantly fascinated by out of the way places with grandiose architecture. And the architecture here was certainly impressive for a town so small. But one sees this often - towns one had never heard of with magnificent architecture - erstwhile centres of local government before excessive centralisation into just one huge megapolis. China is particularly disappointing in this regard as even many cities of ...

... we realised we both spoke a few languages and then realised we would have met at last year's polyglot conference.   Tea. ... they sent me away

I tried asking a driver who couldn't speak english then a taxi driver. At first I thought he said the terminal was 3km away but he meant 300m when he pointed to a red building other side of the road. Then he wanted to now if I was Syrian? Excuse me, can you not interview me when I'm standing in the rain.

    Day 44 - Novi Sad - 60 miles
Long, straight ride. Again, flying along. Take pics of me prancing around in sunflower fields. Eat lunch in a ditch while listening to my old fav songs from 6 or 7 years ago. Sometimes wonder where all the people are in Serbia, so much land set aside for farming. Even Kula nd Vrbas, the biggest towns I pass, hardly seem bustling.....Legs feel great. Serbs loving me. Beeping horns, running onto street to shout and ...
