After the excesses of Suzdal, Nizhny Novgorod was a beautiful setting to have a couple of days relaxing by the almighty Volga. I spent two days wandering the streets and through the beauitful Kremlin in the sun, stopping off in cafes and bars every so often to read David Walsh's most recent book on Lance Armstrong "Seven Deadly Sins" as I was on the second half and couldn't wait for the comeuppance. Then we were back out into the main change room to sit and ponder our lives for a while and get our breath back, say "mate" a few more times, back into the shower area for another shower before heading back into the Pit of Despair once more.
