Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Novecento Pisa

    Traumhaftes, modernes Hotel

    from

    from

    A hidden treasure

    from

What a great find! Within walking distance to the leaning tower and restaurants but away from the hustel and bustle. We booked the family room which was quiet and opened out onto a lush garden. Rooms were modern and very clean with great bathrooms. Breakfast was simple but very enjoyable! I would definately stay here again. The only thing I regret is that we should have stayed longer.

    from

    from

    Fabulous stylish hotel

    from

We stayed at this hotel for one night only on our way to Florence. Having searched the net extensively, I definitely made the right choice. The hotel was beautiful, modern and stylish. Fresh flowers in the rooms and bathrooms, extremely modern bathroom and huge comfortable bed. If I had any complaints at all it would be that the AC was pretty noisy, but that would not put me off returning. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel without any hesitation and would stay here again if I go back to Pisa.

Un hotel fabuloso y con estilo

    from

Me volvería a hospedar aquí si regresara a Pisa.

    from

Clean modern hotel near tower with kind english speaking staff

    from

We had a one night lay over in Pisa and wanted a clean, budget hotel. We walked in and out of the door to many before finding the charming (and clean!!) Hotel Novecento. We arrived late at night with 3 of us and were shown to a modern clean room with lovely Etro toiletries and a flat screen tv. Full marks to the gorgeous shower with a massive head and loads of hot water. We were only 3 minutes walk to the duomo and tower, near to all bus routes and easy access to taxis for the morning airport run. There were loads of good cafes nearby but what sealed it was the charming gentleman on the desk for which nothing was too much trouble. 3 of us slept in luxury in this 3 star hotel for 30£ each - it was nice enough to return with my man for sure.

We had a early start (5.30 wake up) to our day as we had a train to catch and our apartment was on the opposite side of the city to the train station. We used Uber (another trick Liv's learnt in London) and got a lift to the station. Normal taxi quoted us around €30 but Uber cost only €8 so really good value. When the car arrived we could only fit the biggest suitcase in the boot (mine), Liv sat in the front with her big pack on ...

As we approached Rome we drove through a small storm and much to our surprise only 50km away from Rome it was snowing! This was certainly not expected.

The next part of the adventure was driving into Rome. For those of you who have been to Rome before, you will know what we mean about driving in Rome! One word sums it up 'DON'T'! The traffic ...

... for tracking us!) and it cost EUR12. Which was very reasonable. He even tried to give us our 40c of change. How lovely. Totally hassle free! Very pleased! Our hotel was also amazing. Huge room. A spa bath. A balcony - with a Pisa tower view! And right on the gates to the tower complex. Literally could not have been closer. Turns out the large tower grass area - the Piazza del Duomo - is open all night. So we popped out to go and see in the dark! The area ...

... supper, we went out to another villa for a typical Tuscany feast. We had a huge variety of appetizers, a first course of pasta, a variety of meats, potatoes and dessert. Of course, wine was also a large part of the meal. There was some entertainment and even our guide, Marco, took a turn singing. The boys sat at a kids table and we enjoyed some great conversation with couples from Toronto and South ...

... picture holding up the leaning tower. From where we were standing initially, I didn't notice how tilted the tower was. Once we got closer and could actually see the difference in ground level, it was amazing and enough to keep me from standing within it's falling path. There were lots of people going to the top of it and a good number of people standing under it. Both Logan and I thought it would be best to avoid both of ...
