    Traumhaftes, modernes Hotel

    A hidden treasure

What a great find! Within walking distance to the leaning tower and restaurants but away from the hustel and bustle. We booked the family room which was quiet and opened out onto a lush garden. Rooms were modern and very clean with great bathrooms. Breakfast was simple but very enjoyable! I would definately stay here again. The only thing I regret is that we should have stayed longer.

    Fabulous stylish hotel

We stayed at this hotel for one night only on our way to Florence. Having searched the net extensively, I definitely made the right choice. The hotel was beautiful, modern and stylish. Fresh flowers in the rooms and bathrooms, extremely modern bathroom and huge comfortable bed. If I had any complaints at all it would be that the AC was pretty noisy, but that would not put me off returning. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel without any hesitation and would stay here again if I go back to Pisa.

Me volvería a hospedar aquí si regresara a Pisa.

Clean modern hotel near tower with kind english speaking staff

We had a one night lay over in Pisa and wanted a clean, budget hotel. We walked in and out of the door to many before finding the charming (and clean!!) Hotel Novecento. We arrived late at night with 3 of us and were shown to a modern clean room with lovely Etro toiletries and a flat screen tv. Full marks to the gorgeous shower with a massive head and loads of hot water. We were only 3 minutes walk to the duomo and tower, near to all bus routes and easy access to taxis for the morning airport run. There were loads of good cafes nearby but what sealed it was the charming gentleman on the desk for which nothing was too much trouble. 3 of us slept in luxury in this 3 star hotel for 30£ each - it was nice enough to return with my man for sure.

... even! In the end I didn't need the key, but it was good to know I had the option. In being that the whole goal of my trip was fulfilled, I decided to take it easy from there on out. I slept until 930/10 every morning, seriously with the heat though, its not hard to do! Found myself a cafe and enjoyed a capuccino and pastry (my waist line is still regretting that decision), and just enjoyed the time away. I decided I am never going to be much of a backpacker because just carrying ...

... was supposed to be an hour, but when we got to the station one was leaving right then so we just hopped on. Unfortunately we got on one that was two hours, and it took us a while before we were sure we were on the right train at all. Luckily we made it fine and then had to undertake another adventure of taking a bus out into the Tuscan countryside to get to Tavarnelle, where our hostel ...

... climb (envigorated by a good dose of vitamin D). After a quick intro, we climbed. I enjoyed the experience, and the views (Ellen wouldn't recommend it, was horrified we had to pay €108 for the privilege! But I'm sure Dad would have wanted us to!! ("In" joke with my sisters)). Our Tower ticket also allowed us inside the Duomo (the other two sights would have cost us another €10 each, otherwise I'm sure we would have visited the art gallery, not), ...

... in hand, we cycled back utilising those handy baskets on the front of our bikes. We had a lovely evening, cooking the meat, drinking Chianti and singing along to the ipod. We certainly got some funny looks from the neighbours!
