... savouries and lollies with some who I won't mention caught with their hand in the lolly jars. The wedding party went through their rehearsals and then we all shared dinner prepared by the Sawmill. ... Deerfoot, traffic was light and made good time right to Bowden where I stopped for gas. Everything was in order on the bike. Continuing northbound I decided for one last blast on an secondary road so I took the 2A turn off at Ponoka, and prolly as a stalling tactic because as excited as I am to be getting home, I am sad the trip is ending. I stopped for a bite at the Ponoka A&W and when I got off the bike I found that the bungee cords holding my top Pelican case ...

... it was well worth the diversion, which made a nominal 3 hour direct trip into a five hour one with a 2 1/2 hour stopover to see the Museum. And it was worth it ... the badlands around Drumheller have produced many many many fossil finds dating way way back, and the museum is so well thought of (and so well set up and, I presume, well funded) that pretty much all the dinosaur ...

We have arranged to stay at an airbnb place for the first 3 days in Panama City. $45 a night, not bad, plus she is a local and is willing to pick us up at the airport for $35. Let's just hope we make it out of panama with our kidneys. :)
