... train delays brought throughout our trip. HOWEVER, the staff from Toronto did not communicate ONE BIT prior to, or during, our delay!! And when politely questioned, the manager proceeded to use two large erasers to demonstrate to me how the delay of one train causes another. At the time, I simply indicated I appreciated the domino effect he was describing but, frankly, I later took insult to his kindergarten-like demonstration of the delay and his overall obnoxious attitude. ...

... through on the run, we counted four kiwis home before seeing him, and knew instantly he appeared that something wasn't quite right. In spite of the high-five to the finish line, things were not well in Camp Shanks. A niggling lower calf/achilles, which had been fine in the aquathlon decided to go 'ping' at the 3km mark, and after stopping, then keeping going, we think he easily lost about 15 places with just getting to the ...

... an early Governor General of Canada, wanted to name the province he happened to be travelling through and loved after his wife and originally suggested Louise. She apparently boycotted this idea and chose instead Alberta, to honour both her and her late father. I don't know about you, but the province of "Louise" just doesn't seem to work as well as "Alberta" so I'm pretty happy she won that one.

Edmonton was actually pretty relaxing, mostly because I chose not to ...

We rented from Hertz, but there was a line up and one person working!! The only hope I had was it would take off a days rental if it took this long :-) But they have a kiosk where you pick up the phone and talk to a live person in Phoenix and get your car that way, really neat.

Off to the house I rented for my parents in Kissimmee!

... is no fall here at all , the summer immediately turns to winter ... Well , October was quite OK, a few days or even a weeks were still quite nice, sunny ... With the arrival of November, however, everything changed rapidly, and the snow and frost came in huge portion. Since the 2nd November it has been freezing every day and many of them came with snow.

In late November it was here sometimes so cold that even the temperature record was broken, I believe, it all began ...
