... So Christoffer and I decided to try it. It was pretty exciting... scratch, scratch, scratch... AND I WON!!! I won 90 kr ($12?), WOOHOO. Haha, the cards were 30kr each, so we basically earned 30kr. Still, exciting!

Anyway, back to today, I woke up to a sunny day... WITH SNOW. Yeah, snow. It's as if I never left!!! We ate breakfast burritos we made in a batch the other day and froze, then set out ...

Mistletoe

... the shops, the white sparkly lights in every window. The God Jule signs as we walk along. Yes this feels like Christmas for sure. Understated elegance and restrained decorating. There are no gaudy lights and fake foliage here. Last night was pretty quiet and nice, bar the drunk British guy I had to hydrate and put to bed, a group of big Russian guys I ushered away (they were quite cooperative actually!), and a random guy who was trying to get in at 4am but didn't have the entrance code or knew the name of his room. I asked him ...

Last night at about 3am I woke up to the sound of an animal, likely on the other side of the lake, howling. It didn't sound like a wolf though, and whatever it was nothing came anywhere near the tent so I went back to sleep no problems. I broke camp around 8, and while I was packing up the bike I shifted the spare helmet in such a way that the bracket that holds the headphones in place snapped. I fixed it as best I could with some gaffa tape and it ...
