We had dinner and than we had to say goodbye. 16th We got up and after breakfast organized and cleaned some more and than we went to say goodbye to Mariette and Berry and brought them all the food and drinks that we had left in the fridge and cupboards. ... to Buddha Mountain and Silverlake. We even felt restored enough to tackle a couple of beers over dinner in the evening.

On Saturday, we returned to central Pattaya - the scene of the numerous crimes committed in the name of Western entertainment. We started off proceedings with an ultimately fruitless argument in Big C Supermarket. A deckchair we had purchased from there had collapsed under me on my birthday (a recurring theme - muscle ...

      ... in my book!

Once back in Pattaya, we had around two weeks left so I started thinking about what I still wanted to accomplish from this part of the world on this trip. One of the things almost everyone raves about it the ruins at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and I had been trying my whole trip to plan something there. The problem is that not a lot of airlines fly from BKK to Siem Reap (the city nearest to Angkor Wat) so the fares are always ...
