This was spectacular as we turned from the main fjord into the long harbour, under a towering bridge and seemed to sail right into the heart of the town. The cliffs overlooking the sound were dotted with wooden houses and there were plenty of small ships moored in the marina.

They were on the river, alongside an older building - it seemed a bit rude to take a photo, but now I can't remember much about i!. It seemed like some sort of historic 're-enactment' - or renovations by an historical society?

... at Lillehammer, stopping for coffee only as it was just 10am and too early to go to a campsite. In the distance we could see the ski run used in the 1994 winter Olympics.
We carried on and came to Otto on the E6 road but the campsite, although meant to be open, looked less than inviting. We found a very nice cafe in a small shopping centre and had coffee and waffles with lashings of cream and jam (well I did), mmmmm delicious. ...
From 06.00 to 12.00 we were able to go ashore and visit Trondheim. Tracy as well as Geoffrey had studied up on the city and led us on a lovely and informative tour. Viva the Kindle!
