          But then.................a shining light fell upon my head and she told me that there was a phone number on the small sign on the door, and if I rang it and if there was someone in the office they sometimes open the door and let you have a look around. Sounded promising so we went back to the door, rang the number and the man said no problem, or Norwegian words to that effect.

          ... luggage, and took the Flybussen to town, passing soooo close to Hell we could almost taste it. It's kind of sad we didn't get to stop for a photo-op, but oh well. I'll live.

          Trondheim was grey and dreary, but our hotel was nice and welcoming. Honestly, Comfort Hotels for the win! Plus it was right close to the action, but put us in a VERY quiet room ...

          ... We have become used to seeing the Norwegian wooden churches, so this was a surprise. Inspired by Westminster Abbey and Lincoln Cathedral it is a mass of spires and sculptures.

          ... only,cobbled spaces, with a huge Market Square in the center, filled today with children, as they had a musical competition,marching bands all in colourful uniform a mix of ages.,and many of the blonde ,blue eyed Norwegian kids.
          High above it all a Viking statue, maybe Erik..this was the Viking Capitol in the 1200's, so very old buildings, kept perfectly ,are still in place,great to see.
