... needless to say it was cold. Got sprinkled on a couple of times. Late in the day the winds picked up and it was definitely challenging. My muscles ache.

Saw a coyote cross the road just a couple of miles from last nights hotel. The mountains were just amazing. Mostly snow covered. I got to see some ice flows/glaciers. They were massive. Wish I would of had the time to take the bus up to see ...

... to Jasper National Park bear are generally seen. Well, we were not disappointed. A HUGE black bear crossed the road right in front of us. We stopped and took pictures and he did not disappoint us. While we were photographing him, he stood straight up to eat something from the top of a small tree. ... trip. This was quite a process as it involved backing the train into the 'Y' , breaking the train in half and then manipulating the halves so the the engine and all the cars were once again in the right order and facing the right direction to return to Vancouver tomorrow.

We decided to top off our stay in Jasper with a dinner out and I had a fabulous bison steak with Saskatoon reduction while Don opted for a Bison burger. Yummy!

The drive from Hope, BC to Gregg Lake was gorgeous. We took the Coquihalla Highway (Yellowhead 5) that went right through Jasper. Stayed there for dinner before arriving at the William A. Switzer Provincial Park.

We got there just in time. The office was just about to close. We got to our site and set up. The sites were quite a bit closer and more open than in BC ...
