... had a big marina on one side with cruising yachts of the type you would see around Auckland and a few big launches, but no super yachts. Shops and restaurants were on the other side, most closed. The shops that were open were running pretty deep discounts on summer wear. We wanted to see the beach and parked up near the beach for awhile. ... a naturist village where nudity is mandatory. No, we didn't go because it was too cold and raining!!

During the evening after a few drinks at the apartment complex bar, we went out to a restaurant and had a steak to celebrate Gilly's birthday. When we eventually left we got soaked wet through walking the 10 minutes back to the hotel.

... oh I do love it. Not. We kept telling ourselves that Its not a long
journey so everything is fine. Dee gets really bad ears when flying so she is always
