There was just one similarity to a day we spent in Italy in 2002. The weather wasn't similar. Today was overcast and eventually rainy.What was similar was that we drove for 2 hours to have a lunch in a renowned seaside port. In Italy we drove to Porto Recante on the Marche coast for one of the best seafood experiences in Italy. Today we travelled to Sete (pronounced "Set") for a genuine Bouillabaisse.

... got out of the shops and on the road. On the highway one of the side doors to the water popped open and we had to pull over. That is when I realised that it was Friday the thirteenth. We arrived at a small town on the beach and the Mediterranean sea. There was nothing there but we were safe off the road until tomorrow!!

... very relieved to get off the road at Narbonne and make our way to the campsite at Colombiers, which is right by the Canal du Midi and quite sheltered. We last stayed here about 5 years ago - in summer. Rob's arms were aching with trying to control the steering.

... oh I do love it. Not. We kept telling ourselves that Its not a long
journey so everything is fine. Dee gets really bad ears when flying so she is always
in pain bless her. Safety demonstration started and we were off, heading for that runway.

... mousse and custard tarts. Then they offered us a shot of strong alcohol, nearly made me lose my dinner!

We walked to the cathedral and saw the views from there, very nice indeed.

Back to hotel for about midnight.

Noce lie in, and checked our at 12. We thought that buses to Valras Plage were frequent, but once again, they are only every 2 hours on Bank holiday's (as it was), we rushed down to the train ...
