The Park Inn is centrally located and has good facilities. The staff were friendly although it took some time to get someone to open the room safe which was locked when we booked in. It would get the extra star if it had a guest laundry. The nearest laundrette is Brights Laundrette which is a 12 minute walk away.

It is the first day of JFC Ski 2015, the bus is all loaded, we've gone through the toilet rules (no solids!) and off we go. Miss Mullen is already panicking about the almost certain sickness on the ferry, eww! Mrs Taylor is missing her wine, Mr Maggs is regretting coming at all and Mr Swain is snoring like a walrus.
Tonight we will be making our ferry journey and seeing the beautiful scenery as we pass through France. We are due to arrive at our resort during mid ...
... for a living! We had dinner on the way home and the Bulls Head pub. On my actual birthday, I spent it with Kate, helping her out with her chores. We clipped Daisy and then we went to the Polesworth Chippie for a hot lunch which she shouted. She always talked about the Chinese curry sauce, and I finally had some. It was amazing with the salt and vinegar chips! On Thursday my young farmers friends organised a leaving ...
... check where the flight went before we drove all that way, it went to Kazakhstan - we booked three nights in a hotel in Ripley in Yorkshire instead. We got to hotel, hit the room, hit the wifi and sat there cancelling the first batch of hotels we'd painstakingly booked six months ago while in NZ, at least they were free cancelation but it certainly wasn't the start to our trip we'd envisaged. Wednesday January 28th Might have been having rubbish luck with the car but at least ...
... tastefully. The side hedge in the back yard is still there, along with the sycamore tree and a willow tree. There is also now a hedge across the front of the front yard. We also told the lady about Andrew falling down the stairway a couple of times. That also brought us memories. It was great to see the house again.
- We had lunch at the oldest tavern in the UK (since 1189) called "The Trip" or the Jerusalem Tavern. This is a 3 ...
... dinner we headed into a pub that was having Christmas carols but it was so busy and the carols were on break for 45mins so we headed home. The couple didn't sell Nottingham to us, making us think that we had made a mistake in booking for so long. Wednesday (18th) we headed into the city to meet up with Col Hoad's friend, Chris for coffee. He gave us an awesome tour of the town centre, filling us in on the town history and along the canal. Walked past the castle, statue ...
