    Good Location & Facilities

The Park Inn is centrally located and has good facilities. The staff were friendly although it took some time to get someone to open the room safe which was locked when we booked in. It would get the extra star if it had a guest laundry. The nearest laundrette is Brights Laundrette which is a 12 minute walk away.

... me half an hour to cut it away. Every time I hacked a bit more of it away I thought, stay calm, be patient.

Finally, we were free and off we set again. By now we were looking for somewhere to moor and found a really nice spot. As we were tying up I was inwardly praising myself for my patience at clearing the prop, then the rope got tangled around my foot and an expletive passed my lips.

    Ah well, little steps.

... to! Last year's scholars certainly set the bar high. Thanks guys.....no really....thanks :-S

As one of last year's candidates stated "Buckle up-you're in for a ride"...I have taken that as the indication to seriosuly knuckle down and firm up my scholarship plans. So to those of you kind enough to read this, watch this space!

It struck me that no matter what you are doing or what you are trying to achieve, big or small, it's important sometimes to just stop and seek out the inner calm that's in us all; because that too needs to be developed and appreciated.

Yes, Virginia there was a Robin Hood and a Nottingham and a Sherwood Forest. Of the many figures of legend in the English tradition, Robin Hood deserves a place at King Arthur's table. As is the case with Arthur, Robin Hood has been researched to death among a small coterie of devotees. That research has produced the records of several outlaws in the 1200s mentioned in legal proceedings who may have in fact been ...

    Things We Learned in Liverpool

Traveling with one's life partner can be a fulfilling, rewarding experience. You can spend your days sightseeing, linked arm-in-arm as you stroll the exotic promenades of the city you're visiting, or partaking in a cultural event like a play or a special exhibit at a museum or art gallery; at night you share intimate meals, sampling new cuisines and talking about your day, or you carouse in a pub until the wee ...
