The Park Inn is centrally located and has good facilities. The staff were friendly although it took some time to get someone to open the room safe which was locked when we booked in. It would get the extra star if it had a guest laundry. The nearest laundrette is Brights Laundrette which is a 12 minute walk away.

... Thanks for following along, it's been fun and gratifying to know friends and family have been on the trip with us.

Many have commented it was "the trip of a lifetime". Well, yes... but we hope not, more one of our trips during our lifetime. We're already thinking about where to go next.

This morning we finished packing the things we would need for the next week or so. We said bye (but not for long!) to our cousins and aunty & uncle. We got in the car and drove to Nottingham. It wasn't that far away, but it was still a bit of a drive. When we got there, we went for lunch in the oldest pub / inn ...

... for a few foundations. There was a few nice sculptures depicting the Robin Hood legend and inside the mansion they had an exhibition of Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham and their stories and possible explanations about how the legend arose and who it could have been and if it was real or not. Somewhat interesting, had a few good things but it's not a must do, they also had an art exhibition going on ...
