In 1194 King Richard I reclaimed the castle from his (evil) brother Prince John. The castle was handed over to Colonel Hutchison as spoils for his defeat of Charles I during the English …
We moved headquarters to Nottingham for a bit of archery practice and some womanising. According to Barry from The Knoll Guesthouse in Newport, there are 3 women for every man in Nottingham. The Park Inn is centrally located and has good facilities. The staff were friendly although it took some time to get someone to open the room safe which was locked when we booked in. It would get the extra star if it had a guest laundry. The nearest laundrette is Brights Laundrette which is a 12 minute walk away.
