    Good Location & Facilities

The Park Inn is centrally located and has good facilities. The staff were friendly although it took some time to get someone to open the room safe which was locked when we booked in. It would get the extra star if it had a guest laundry. The nearest laundrette is Brights Laundrette which is a 12 minute walk away.

So a few months ago me and my girlfriend Olivia were having a chat about the future. And in my typical fashion of avoiding adulthood and responsibilities I throw in "have you ever wanted to travel?" Anyway, to cut a long story short, here we are a few months later facing the adventure of a lifetime. To be fair it wasn't that simple. Once we decided we wanted to go, we thought the best thing to do was go to STA and find out what we needed to do. We turned up like a couple ...

No photos cause I forgot to take the photo machine and Lee didn't take her phone.

... lanes by the SatNav, we gave up and went back to the village and found a park. With rain pouring down we sat and had lunch wondering if Tess really wanted a walk! Eventually the rain slowed and we walk round what was an arboretum. Some beautiful trees including acers, eucalyptus and mimosas. On returning we decided that an awning was a must, for this country's weather, wellies, water proof and of course wet ...

    Driving to Nottingham

This morning we finished packing the things we would need for the next week or so. We said bye (but not for long!) to our cousins and aunty & uncle. We got in the car and drove to Nottingham. It wasn't that far away, but it was still a bit of a drive. When we got there, we went for lunch in the oldest pub / inn ...
