... games. We then drove to the "Historic District". Beautiful scenery surrounded the White River but the 'historic' part left a lot to be desired. It was really an outdoor strip mall with many contemporary stores. Steve and the kids enjoyed go-karting to end the evening. ... encountered more ticks than the 2 of us have seen in a very long time. And yes, we did use a good amount of Deep Woods Off. The little buggers liked us anyway! After leaving Pea Ridge, we headed to our campground in Branson, MO. Almost immediately upon crossing the state line the terrain changed from Ozark mountains to relatively flat farmland...definitely a change from what we've seen the past couple of days. Branson is supposedly a bit like Gatlinburg, TN...a big tourist ...

We are at Susie's and will be staying here until next week and we have decided to go to Death Valley next week. We have never been there and the weather is pretty decent this time of year.
