Very beautiful location, wonderful staff. The main building has recently been redone and is wonderful. The bungalows down the hill are not all curently open. The walk down to the beach and restaurant is long, back up even longer!! The room we have is in the main building and is beautiful, wonderful sweeping sea views, large sitting area and bedroom, and a very large porch.

... nice weather so the beach has become priority for the kids.

This is the only true sandy beach on the Island and the kids and Cassie had a whale of a time running up and down the beach. I was on ball throwing duty and the kids were racing Cassie, it was a close contest as to who was going to run out of energy first. The water on the beach is very shallow so the kids could paddle out quite far which was ideal for throwing ...

... br> We had an amazing meal last night on our final night in Skopelos, this capped off a lovely stay and a lasting impression of a beautiful Island well worth a visit. I logged on this morning and had an email telling me there are only 48 shopping days left till Christmas today. I can honestly say that there is nothing in Greece about Christmas yet and the whole ethos is very different here, there is very little commercialism which we absolutely love.

We went to Patitiri Beach late morning to enjoy the sun, we ate our pack lunch and then waited for the ferry to come at around 1.30pm. We bumped into Dave and Gerry in one of the harbour bars and had a quick chat before boarding our ferry. I love the fact you bump into people all the time and people are so friendly, I really do like the community feel of the Island.

... being a little shy before hand. We are proud of our children, we are obviously biased but they are wonderful little crinkles. They are so articulate, thoughtful and polite, this is not something I say that often as they can be horrors to each other sometimes but I am a proud father non the less. Not sure where that came from but I thought I would share it anyway.

I must say it was nice to speak with a like minded person today, Guy and his wife Jane are into growing their own produce and living off the land which is exactly what we want to do.
