Very beautiful location, wonderful staff. The main building has recently been redone and is wonderful. The bungalows down the hill are not all curently open. The walk down to the beach and restaurant is long, back up even longer!! The room we have is in the main building and is beautiful, wonderful sweeping sea views, large sitting area and bedroom, and a very large porch.

We went to John & Polly's to see their house and one the way you have to go past Kitty City, this is a collection of stray cats that are fed by the local ex-pat animal charity. There are hundreds of cats on the island.

We parked on the pebble beach and whilst Les had a nap I sorted through some photos on the computer. Logan was outside enjoying watching small fishing boats chugging in and out of the tiny harbour. In contrast to yesterday it's very still here and the sea just Laps onto the beach, it's very ...

... which most if the walking routes follow. We failed at the first hurdle, we couldn't find the first pathway, marked with a red mark, which should have turned off the road climbing back the way we had driven. We decided to carry on up the road as the path should rejoin it higher up. When we got to a junction and as the weather is still damping we decided to stick to the road. The wind last night has blown fruit off the trees and there is a very large ...

... we picked Boletus mushrooms first which are a yellow/brown mushrooms that hides under the local foliage. Well once we knew what to look for we stumbled on a vast amount, see the pictures attached to believe it. Her knowledge on mushrooms was better than ours and so we felt comfortable enough to eat them for our dinner later in the day. We found another type ...

    ... back in, bless him.

When we got back to Dawn's she was telling us about the cat next door who came to say hello, apparently they thought it was a girl so they called it Mabel. When it grew up and established just one testicle they were still unsure so changed Mabel's name to Maybe (this had us in stitches).

We have had a run of sun so have been ...
