... think of renting ourselves out to drought-ridden communities. It even rained once when we pitched our already-wet tent in our yard at home so that we could dry it out.

Camping in Tennessee is a bit of a strange experience, particularly in the days following a big national dispute over the confederate flag (and the day after South Carolina voted to take down the one flying over their statehouse). The campground is positively full of ...

    Better Late than Never

In the end, we got to the campground at about 6:45, only to have to drive back into town (only 2 miles) to get firewood, as they don't sell it in the park. The sun shining in through our blinds woke us up fairly early around 7am, so we decided to get up and start our day. We went down and had coffee and cereal, before Dave popped his head out also. We are getting used to be the first ones up now. We had a fairly quiet morning as Kyle being a university student doesn't rise from bed until noon, and Cheryl enjoys sleeping in and wasn’t up until 10am.

A slow start to our day, but ...

Today is the first day of my First Solo Trip. I am traveling in my 1979 Fiat Spider on my way to Nashville. I left Richmond this morning about 7 am . The top was down the roads were clear and I was singing out. The drive has been wonderful, the mountains ...
