    ... little further along the west we turned off for Kai Iwi Lakes. The lakes are three lakes a few kilometres from the coast which have beautiful white sands, amazing blue water and was absolutely empty! Rather than go for a swim as the day was still progressing from its hazy morning to beautiful afternoon once again, we opted for lunch in front of the van embracing the beautiful view.     ... less so! There was one room which we were stood in looking at the exhibit, when a man came in and then jumped, saying 'oh gosh, sorry, I thought you were part of the exhibit' to Chloe! That's the second time this trip that she's been mistaken for a statue - when we were in Byron Bay when I was getting my hair braided and Chloe was stood in the shop, a lady also jumped when she moved and said she thought Chloe was a mannequin!
