      ... but it’s expensive. Gas/Diesel here is at a very good price. The manager, Pat, is no longer at the park which is too bad as they really don’t have an office anymore…just a sign to a trailer to sign in. This is the big downfall but don’t let it keep you from staying here. Super pleasant wooded, rustic park that I would definitely stay in again.

      So, off we go……….Oregon here we ...

      ... climbing up huge boulders up the face of a mountain. It was so incredibly fun and altough we ran out of time before we could get to the top, we got some outstanding views. We finished up with a beautiful swim in Sardine Lake on the way back down, then packed to head back to the Den.

      The Den is a cool place, filled with other trail crew on various projects around the area. I have free accommodation for the next few nights as well which is great. Our crew ...

      ... for 7 years as a cook for monks in Nepal, and along with Nepalese can now speak 6 languages. We was a very genuine and sincere man and pretty bloody inspirational. He had many stories to tell and we were all ears. The next few days passed pretty quickly, with pack repairs, loud Irish, Columbians and Kiwis, as well as routine visits to all the local buffets.
