... Long straight good road with farms as far as the eyes could see. I cruised all day through corn, wheat, and soybean fields, cattle farms, dairy farms, lakes, rolling hills, and great vistas all in beautiful weather. What a difference a day makes.

It was also nice to have a fairly short day, 190 miles to Willmar, MN. Apol's Harley Davidson was 10 miles away in Raymond MN. I needed my clutch adjusted. ...

Started the day with a stop at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. It’s like a huge school gymnasium with a stage for shows, and all the murals, inside and out, are made with various colours of corn cobs. Very cool actually.

This quick entry highlights, mostly in pics the time that we spent hanging out with my wife's side of the family.

One major highlight for us all was ice skating on the frozen ponds and lakes in the area. There is nothing better than strapping on a pair of skates and hitting the smooth, ...

... to a building used for community get togethers and meeting. No folks, not shingles, siding or vinyl siding, but corn cobs !!!!

Next in the small town of Blue Earth, Minnestoa ( dont ask - I dont know either ) is a major processing plant for the Green Giant Food Company. This area produces amost all of the corn and beans for the company. So, what do you erect - you guessed it - a 60 foot tall Jolly Green Giant. If you are out this way, it is just one ...
