      ... east I got, the more trees there were to create some interference. The GPS likes it here a whole lot better too. In fact, I wasn’t across the line more than a minute and it was back to letting me know I was speeding. I’d missed that.       ... ice of a lake that froze while the temperature was damn cold, the wind was calm and no precipitation fell from the sky. These rare early winter conditions happen on a rare occasion, with this winter being one of them... a creation of champaign ice.

      As I said, I have been driving my butt off, simply because - just how much corn in the fields do you really need to see, so I havent been stopping to take too my pictures in the last few days.
      Tonite, I am writing from Battle Creek, Michigan and tomorrow I will be going thru the Detroit/Windsor, Ontario Tunnels, heading toward Buffalo ( Go Bills ! ) and then to Vermont

      Frustration and Fear

      ... my Visa, which only came today (read: 5 days before training starts, and actually 2 days before my flight leaves). So, a bit nerve-wracking to say the least. But my parents have been supportive and helpful through it all, and I'm almost done packing. 31 hours until I hop on a plane. Woohoo! (and, uh, whatever sound fear makes.)
