We bid a fond farewell to Penzance and the lovely June and Stuart who gave us such a warm welcome at the Ashton Guesthouse and wended our way north to Ilfracombe. ... Mother always took a cooked chicken with us on holiday, but as some of you well know, if we're travelling on a train, we'll have a chicken to munch on. We are now at a campsite in Poole for a couple of nights before the grand depart on Saturday morning......feeling chilled with a glass of wine and wondering what the next few months have in store for us.
