We had lunch in Dublin Castle overlooking the gardens before making our way back to the city centre to O’Connell Street via the Ha’Penny Bridge, a beautiful iron pedestrian bridge built in 1816 by the same company who made the Titanic, fortunately the bridge remains standing!
We then took a walk along the River Liffey to the Samuel Beckett Bridge a modern suspension bridge that was built in 2009 ...
... just to by a barrel. At one point I came out of the blur and found myself with Kiah at a Pad Thai place. All I really remember was how incredibly delicious this food was. It was so good. I wanted to never stop eating it. Then my box was empty and we were off to another bar. At the final bar of the night I came back into a clear(er) focus. Today we start our trip around the bottom part of Ireland. Our first stop the suburb of Glasthule. Which according to the 1901 Irish Census the Oatway family lived at 3 Clermont Villas, now transcribed as Claremont Villas, not good for the GPS which took us to the recreation area not far from the Villas.....if we jumped fences. As the roads were formed years ago, they are narrow and one way now. Eventually found it, ...

We were out of there though and on the train to the city centre. Zarah and I were excited that we were staying in a fancy hotel for the night. Andy dropped us of there and this was where we left him to continue his journey. A hug and kiss goodbye we thanked him for the laughs and we walked into the hotel with shinny chandlers hanging from the roof…..nice! We were ready for a relaxing night and good sleep.
Aussies over and out ...
... had rented. The young men helping us though quickly provided us with another van that would meet our needs. It was very weird sitting in the "driver's seat" and not having a steering wheel in front of me. Having said that, SteveB had the hard part of making the adjustment of driving on the "wrong side" of the road. To help ease the pain, however, we did rent an automatic transmission so we didn't also have to shift with our left hands.
