... shops and some theatres. Wandered up to Christchurch cathedral, another austere grey stone building and only 400 m from the other one. Apparently one was inside the city walls and one was outside. Stiff competition! Went into Dublinia which is a display of the Viking and Medieval life in Dublin's past. It is very well done, being informative, fun and interesting. A great place for a school excursion!! Then climbed the 96 steps to the top of the old medieval ...

We hadn't had breakfast prior to leaving as we thought this would be a great opportunity to stop somewhere nice along the way. Well how hard was that to find a breakfast spot. The Irish aren't big on getting up early in the mornings as we have discovered ...
Taking the 103 bus we headed to Dublin for the day. The trip takes a little over 30 mins and is a good drive where you get to see some sights like Croke Park and Glasnevien Cemetery. We stopped just near the Dublin Needle and walked directly to Butler's Chocolate and Coffee. It seems as though in Ireland coffee is accommodated by chocolate, oh well, when in Rome. Basically today was about walking around and exploring. Mum had ...
