... of the family see it later in the day without a ton of traveling back and forth. So we decided to see if the first come, first serve campground at Many Glacier was available. But alas, when we got to the visitor’s center at the St Mary entrance, they had a sign stating that it was already full. So we headed over to St Mary and setup camp.

... and drabs here and there, this snow was a metre thick in some spots and honestly once we got on it the only guidance we had of roughly where the track went was footprints left by others. To keep us on our toes there were also fallen trees over the track that required some climbing and manoeuvring. On the way up we were all pretty careful about staying dry and clean, that was until it started to rain. We all got absolutely soaked to the bones ...
... through the centre of the tent. The camp hosts offered ear plugs which we gratefully accepted. Whitefish was a very touristy place with some great restaurants and gift shops along the main street. We had some great pizza and a local micro brewery beer to wash it down. met some lovely Aussie ladies from Melbourne while late night grocery shopping in Safeway. Tomorrow we tackle The Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National ...
... up and I know he could see the heavy pack and told me about the hiker/biker sites; I said I had seen one but that it had tents there already; he said you could put more in. Aha! I finally found the way to C found a site with a very helpful guy who was just leaving; he helped me figure it out and gave me good hints about the Highline Trail I got my tent site set up paid my money 5$ per night! We were invited to dinner by 2 other couples just across from us, Bobbie, Chris, Lesley and Jim. Plenty to talk about.
