    ... times to keep it somewhat clean.

    Sparkling like a diamond now and having appies and cocktails(hummus & pita, yum)

    Sorry no pictures today...however we will be off on the 11:45 am ferry to Newfie land.

    ... on grass and serviced - really friendly owners!
    We went into North Sydney to the shopping area and they didn have Sobey's, Superstore and Walmart to keep competitive prices down. Bought our first "Valley" strawberries to go with our scallops for supper.

    Then we sat out under the awning and had a relaxing drink!

    Mike and I visited St. John's and looked at the ships anchored in the harbour. Interestingly there were a few Spanish fishing factory ships there too. Just up the street from the harbour is the heart of St. John's nightlife on George Street, which has many bars and live entertainment venues. Nornally the best time to go would be after 10:00 pm, ...

    ... wasn't so bad, but when I got 20 km out, the WINDS became gale-force and almost blew me into the Gulf of St. Lawrence! I was petrified riding for the first time in my life! There was a black station wagon behind me, and when I pulled into the gas station near the ferry, the driver got out and said " very impressive riding, and more so now that I know you are a female!".     ... the streets of Sydney, Nova Scotia...a very small town but quaint and beautiful...I bought a pair of shoes in a famous shoe shop...other than that only about 4 restaurants, one nice furniture shop, a couple of banks, lots of churches...and that says it all... So funny....all shops on pier open for ships...singers come out when big boats come to town...really helps the retail ...
