Our hotel is on the promenade, right across the street from Cardigan Bay. The beach is coarse sand and stones but the view is breathtaking. We'll upload a few pictures later. We had a nice walk and supper at a beach-side fish and chip joint, where luckily they sold cold white wine. Joanne was content. The chicken, chips and peas ...

... 101 states don't go near a fricking cow with a calf. you will die.

I was stunned. literally ready to say f*ck the sea, turn around and go the 10km back home. until the bull behind bellowed. ok then, a break in the fence over there may help. trudged thru a good 4 inches of "mud", skirted around (with a 100 eyes watching) and eventually made it past.

... a magnificent piece of mountain biking. as soon as I fully traverse to get my bearings I'll be pulling out the bike so thoughtfully provided.

Welsh accents are impossible for me to fully comprehend. I just nod my head and piece together what I'm being told from understanding every fourth word or so.

... to the International Pavilion to register our attendance so that their statistics would capture us. So we duly did and were rewarded with special passes which gave us free entry into grandstands, free food and drinks at the Pavillion and the use of all their facilities. So we felt very privileged to have a badge saving 'International Visitor' as we walked around! There were so many interesting things to see and we wandered around the stands for hours. Bought ...
