      ... River accompanied us across Nebraska, but "River" is barely a proper description: Shallow, braided, meandering, and without much flow. Lots of wetlands along it and a surprising (to me) number of ponds especially considering the MILES of irrigation pipe sprayers. Puzzling. Windmills in the Sandhills area drew water for troughs for the cattle, though the cows seem to enjoy standing in The Platte itself.

      ... signs that pointed there. The building actually looked like a tiny, log cabin shack. It was situated on one side of a city park. I was originally just going to get out of the car and take a picture of it, but saw that it was actually open! Greg got out of the car, and we both went in. There were things to buy in there.
