    ... rocks at one (well just behind it really) to push it towards the shore so they could reach it. There were all sorts of creaking and groaning and thunderous cracking sounds… so there must have been some action up top but nothing splashed down into the lake, much to Trystan’s disappointment.

    The hike was a 4,5 Kms stretch to another hotel/hytte and there we would make a tour around a mountain to a small place another 5 Kms away (with service in the summer - now that's a goal) and then back on the other side of the mountain and back to the car over the same way we came originally.

    ... of the glacier. The hike itself brought us through nice landscape with ponds, small rivers, lots of snow and a very rocky path to get there. All in all we walked for about 3 hours.

    After the hike we thought about buying a nice bottle of wine in the Vinimonopolet which we had seen in Lom, we thought that being there by 6 would give us plenty of time, but again a new surprise with alcohol in Norway, on mondays ...

    ... was also a farm where you could stay and eat. There was choice between soup, waffles and sauerkraut. So we went for the soup. Like in many places here, you order at the bar and then you go to the restaurant to eat and they will bring you the food.
