A nice day off.

... took us up to the farm where my great grandmother Magnhild was born and showed us around the old house, which has been standing for hundreds of years. We had a nice little visit in Inge's house, a newer building done in the older style with plain, unpainted pine everywhere. The timber had been cutin their own woods above the house and milled in town and the house built by the family. All in all a pleasant day off from pedalling. Back at it ...

Ringebu is quite close to Lillihammer so some Olympic events were held here in 1994.

Thankfully it is in good condition and, for the most part, wider and faster than a lot of the other highways. The first part of our day was spent travelling this busy road but eventually we turned off to take another highway that passed through Rondane National Park. Not as good a road but not as busy, either.

We travelled ...
