... for the rivers floating next to the path.
The hike was a 4,5 Kms stretch to another hotel/hytte and there we would make a tour around a mountain to a small place another 5 Kms away (with service in the summer - now that's a goal) and then back on the other side of the mountain and back to the car over the same way we came originally.

All went well till we came to a small river - the guide indicated to cross it over the ...

We did about half of the route, because otherwise we would have ended up on the other side of Norway where we started our holiday (close to Olden) and stopped on the way back near a Hytte called Sognefellethytte and walked into the land towards the glacier. We had a nice little visit in Inge's house, a newer building done in the older style with plain, unpainted pine everywhere. The timber had been cutin their own woods above the house and milled in town and the house built by the family. All in all a pleasant day off from pedalling. Back at it ...

After a bit of a patchy night, we got up and had a breakfast of fig biscuits. We hadn't had time the night before to stop at a shop, and that's all we had with us apart from porridge that just needed boiling water, but as there wasn't a camp kitchen, there wasn't any boiling water! That meant no coffee either……

After packing up we headed further north, and then west, towards the town of Lom, passing amazing scenery everywhere we ...
