There's a permanent Viking museum there, but this weekend there had also been a Viking festival - basically lots of Viking enthusiasts who dress as Vikings and camp in the woods and make Viking stuff to sell and throw axes and sail longboats around the lake. ... 8217;t going to get to the end. Kaye decided to keep going and so I turned around. I sat on the rock for quite a while looking at the scenery and then started back. I was very pleased that I managed to get across the very wet portion without getting my feet wet. One of the passengers who was standing on the other side, cheered when I made it safely over and said that I had made it look quite easy.

... and it made it stifling warm. When we had been given the talk we could explore the rest of the house. From there we went to the museum. We had been given a set of headphones and a found metal rod to plug the headphones into. A brief stop in Svolvaer, the capital of the Lofoten Islands, gave us enough time to go to Magic Ice - a gallery and bar where everything is made of ice sculptures. The room is lit by candlelight and colourful spotlights showing off every intricate detail of each piece of art. A great attraction showing off amazing skill. It is by far better than the ice bar in Reykjavik. ...
