Once again, in Scandic style, the rooms are clean and modern with good amenities and nice breakfast. Close to the train station and in close proximity to everything else.

Visit Norrköping as a possible place to move due to it's close proximity to Finspång. Was only an hour and a half on the train from Stockholm. Very comfortable. Nice city. Has trams! Norrköping is Sweden's tenth largest city.

      Gamla Stan

The old town is something that I cannot describe in detail. The short days mean we emerge from lunch at 3pm with the sun gone..we are in darkness each day around 3. The fairy lights make it so pretty though and although it is cold, we scenes around us help us to be distracted. Only 2 metro stops and we are in Gamla Stan. We make the most of the day light with a walk around the palace, catch the finish of the changing of the guard, take as many photos of the area as we could. We ...

A slow start to day but still on the road in good time. Driving south as we head towards Trelleborg for the ferry. We checked out several stopover places and eventually found a lovely spot with all the facilities we needed and a decent picnic area. The weather was kind as we managed to sit out and set up the CADAC for an ...

... information. We are, by the way, using our UK mifi system (with 3) again to have constant access to the internet. Whilst it is a sort of layby it is far better than anything we have found elsewhere, with toilets, chemical loo disposal points, picnic seating and rubbish disposal too with excellent seating and peace and quiet. We thought we would have breakfast outside this morning but boy was the wind cold, so we sat in, what ...

Dad went to the main production plant in Finspång today after dropping me off in the nearby city of Norrköping. Norrköping is Sweden's tenth largest city, and has a rich textile and weaving history. Much of the historic district is made up of beautiful old factories which have now been turned into museums, universities and function centres. The day was bleak and rainy, so it ...
