      We took advantage of a break in a thunder shower to explore ruins of the Priamar fortress which is built on a hill near the harbor.       ... cliff side with a garden hose - I also saw Alassio written on the clif side and there it was, the little access road, the small winding road down to the beach. The road I ran bare foot to tell Anna to ring the fire brigade when our bus burned.


      The camp site was gone. The access road was a private road with a gate. It was still amazing to stand there and look down on the beach I had loved so much as a kid. But I had places to go and things to do.
